On September 18, 2004 The Melvin Weinstein Parkinson’s Foundation (MWPF) held its first annual fund raising event. The theme of the event “Until the Cure… Easing the Burden” illustrates the core mission of the MWPF. A strong turn out made the event both successful and inspiring. We thank you all for your generous support.
Guests included representatives from the Michael J. Fox Foundation, Parkinson’s Action Network, and Parkinsonians from around the nation. The Keynote speaker Mort Kondracke is best known by most Americans as the co-host of FOX News Channel’s “The Beltway Boys.” In the Parkinson’s community however Mort is known as a leading champion of the cause. Mort delivered an important and informed talk on current issues related Parkinson’s disease in America, and around the world.
